Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Training
Depth Relational Process
We offer a two-year psychedelic assisted therapist training that develops skilful, safe and compassionate practitioners that can work with the deep psyche. Graduates of the course will become professional members of the Institute of Psychedelic Therapy.
The course is immersive, experiential and transformative, as deep psyche is engaged and integrated within the close and nurturing container of the training group. The academic course content will draw from psychedelic literature, archetypal and transpersonal psychology, psychodynamic and attachment models, embodied models, intergenerational trauma work, clinical research, systemic perspectives and shamanic and indigenous wisdom traditions. Find out more about our integrative approach, Depth Relational Process. A detailed syllabus will be available at the time of application.
The first cohort started in March 2022 and will complete in December 2023. The second cohort starts in March 2024 and completes in December 2025. The selection process for the second cohort is now complete and we have the full group we will be working with over the next two years. The third cohort will start in March 2026 and the application process will start in spring 2025. You will find more information in this page when we are accepting applications. In the meantime, we encourage eligible applicants to join us as members and engage with IPT’s community-led learning structures like special interest groups and in person retreats and conferences. For membership and eligibility please look at the membership page.
The fees for the 2024-2025 cohort are £5000 per year. The price includes weekly online lectures, two 2 day non-residential in-person meetings (excluding flights and accommodation) and two 5-day experiential residential retreats each year (excluding flights). It also offers access to affiliate or professional membership depending on qualification, which offers access to the special interest groups that run on the CPD side of IPT. The course fee doesn’t cover the cost of the personal therapy which is a mandatory requirement for the course.
